English swift Tymal Mills has stated that Moeen Ali’s kid made fun of him for the “easy” catch he made during the vital T20 World Cup victory against New Zealand.

Glenn Phillips of New Zealand was mysteriously dismissed by England coach Moeen while he was on 15 in a game that was effectively a must-win for England. Phillips, who had just scored an outstanding hundred against Sri Lanka, erred on a huge shot from Adil Rashid, and the ball looped directly in Moeen’s direction.

The catch went down and Phillips threatened to put New Zealand in the lead with a magnificent 62 off 36, but the all-rounder was unable to even get a hold on it. On his BBC podcast Good Pace for Radio with Mark Wood, Mills remarked, “It is one of those ones you can joke about now.”
“Mo has his kid here, and he was telling how horrible and easy a drop it was in the airport,” Wood responded by saying, “He didn’t get a hand on it! His chest was struck by it.

The pair had high admiration for England’s skipper Jos Buttler, who led the team with a 47-ball 73 to secure victory. When he was at bat with Mo, Wood claimed, “He wasn’t just tapping his glove; he was pounding it.”

“He is capable of that. Despite being a quiet person, he is very competitive. He was hoping against hope that England would succeed.
