This evening, Nick Aldis made an announcement to his Instagram followers that he has resigned from the National Wrestling Alliance.
Aldis and Billy Corgan’s disagreements were initially mentioned by PWInsider in July, following Aldis’ removal from the NWA 74 pay-per-view. Aldis had “been critical of the artistic direction of the NWA,” according to Corgan at the time, and another source claimed there was “magma heat” directed at him for consistently speaking out and therefore elevating himself above the organisation.
According to PWInsider, Aldis made it plain that he wasn’t pleased with the company’s path. Aldis’ contract ends in January, so unless anything is resolved, he will likely become a free agency in a few months.
Aldis has been regarded as the NWA’s main attraction, so losing him would be a devastating loss.
