In life, there are some things that are just simply unexplainable. One of those things is discovering a talent one possesses of which they didn’t know they had. Such a case is young and ambitious, Pierre Balian, an international music producer, and songwriter with quite the story.
After retiring from competitive figure skating in 2010, Pierre turned his focus onto talent management and music production. He had made a lot of connections and built strong relationships with some of the top producers, artists, and executives in the game. After a decade-long pursuit of an A&R position at a major label, he decided it was time for a change. Pierre was fortunate enough to have spent some time in the studio with Justin Bieber where he studied the art of music production, creation, and delivery. During the pandemic lockdown, when studios were shut down, he learned how to play the piano via YouTube tutorials and within months landed his first production placement with artist BMW Kenny, who had one of the top streaming records of 2020 on TIKTOK at the time called “Wipe It Down”.
“Wipe it Down” amassed over 1B streams in its first year of release and is close to 2B streams to date. Since then, Pierre has worked with artists all over the world such as American rapper Wiz Khalifa, and power house producers such as Maffio, Play & Skillz, Hitboy, and the list goes on. One of his more recent credits is from Mexican rap queen Snow Tha Product featuring Lauren Jauregui called “Piña” that has been streamed over 2 million times in a short 3 months since its release.
Pierre is best known for his productions on Brazilian superstar, Ludmilla’s last EP release and is also set to be a producer on her upcoming album, set to release sometime within the next few months. He is actively working with independent artists to help them create their identity by providing the marketing tools necessary to elevate their talents to new and higher levels.
Although Pierre is a Los Angeles native, he is currently living in Medellin, Colombia, where he is working on his own project with various local artists and producers. His project is set to drop sometime this year and features various artists from around the globe.
Unfortunately, in September of 2022, Pierre’s main verified Instagram account, with over 100K followers, was deleted by a team of paid representatives at Meta, formerly known as Facebook.
