Carlos Santana was playing at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan, on Tuesday night when all of a sudden he stopped moving. In a series of videos that went viral on social media, the guitar star could be seen waving to his fans. After the guitarist passed out on stage and was being helped off, this video was put online. Reports say that the musician was taken to the hospital soon after his scary fall.
According to a report in the magazine Variety, Santana sat down on the drum riser while singing the song Joy about 20 minutes into his set. After he fell backwards, he finished the rest of his set. After the performer passed out on stage, emergency medical workers rushed onto the stage to help. Even though it was later found out that the guitar legend had not been in a life-threatening medical emergency when he fell, he was still treated as a hero.
After some time, the 74-year-old person’s manager reportedly said in a statement that the person was “doing well.”
The musician’s manager said that he passed out because of a combination of being too hot and not drinking enough water. The manager gave this information to us. Santana’s manager put out a statement saying that the band’s next show, which was supposed to take place the next day in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, has been put off until further notice because of what happened recently.
The musician is currently on The Miraculous Supernatural Tour, which will last until the end of August and include 21 more shows. After this tour is over, Santana will go back to his regular gig at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.
