One of Marvel’s most anticipated projects is the upcoming Fantastic Four film, which has been announced as part of the studio’s next phase and is tentatively planned to release in November 2024. Fan anticipation for the film has been high as they await the announcement of the film’s cast. Popular Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan is rumoured to be participating.
A source close to the production said the actress is in the running for the role of Sue Storm. At the 2022 Global Citizen Festival on September 24 in New York City, Brosnahan addressed the rumours and verified whether or not she would soon be making her MCU debut. The actress told Entertainment Tonight, “Unfortunately, I haven’t heard anything.” When asked if she was up for the heroic part, she said, “Absolutely! That sounds like a fantastic idea.”
The popular actress was candid about filming the final season of her show Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which was released earlier this year. Brosnahan is up against a number of other well-known performers, like Emily Blunt and Jodie Comer, for the role of Sue Storm in the upcoming Fantastic Four film.
It was just announced at Disney’s D23 Expo that Star Trek 4 director Matt Shakman will also helm this film. Deadline states that Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer will pen the film’s script.
