A new K-pop group is making history on the charts today, and by the charts, we don’t only mean the local ones, but also the international ones. With their most recent album, female band LE SSERAFIM has once again accomplished some incredible accomplishments.
For those who may not be aware, the ladies returned on October 17 with the release of their brand-new album, ANTIFRAGILE. The fans were pulling for them after watching their enthralling music video and hearing all the other new tunes. Everyone was merely hoping for a strong start for their record on the BB charts given the hoopla surrounding their reunion.
As it turns out, LE SSERAFIM’s fanbase was responsible for the band’s historic breakthrough on the Billboard 200 chart. Yes, their newest mini-album made its debut this week at No. 14.
Billboard just released their charts for the week ending November 5 and it was noted that the K-pop trio had accomplished this significant milestone on them. In addition, this is their first official album since their debut, making their placing at No. 14 even more significant.
Let us assure you that their reign on the US chart is not over because ANTIFRAGILE also reached its highest point at No. 8 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales list while debuting at No. 42 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart. The song is at No. 79 on the Billboard Global 200 list.
Not only that, but LE SSERAFIM surpassed the first-week sales record in a single day by selling around 408,833 copies, breaking their own prior record. They also had the fifth-highest first-week sales among female idols in Hanteo history and the fourth-highest first-day sales.
I’d want to congratulate LE SSERAFIM and their fanbase on all of their accomplishments.
