Multiple fights broke out at Knott’s Berry Farm on Saturday night, which forced the park to close earlier than usual.
After looking into the area, the police officers who responded to the several calls to 911 that said gunshots were heard in Buena Park decided that none had been fired. During the time that the police were looking into what happened, they asked people to stay away from the area. The amusement park put out a statement saying that “We always put the safety of Knott’s Berry Farm’s guests and employees first.
On Saturday night, the park was closed three hours early because a number of teens were acting out and getting into fights. The park was closed by several adults, which led to this decision. This wasn’t in line with what our park stands for, and it’s not the kind of thing we want our guests to experience when they come to Knott’s Berry Farm.
Posts on social media say that customers who heard rumours of a shooting ran out of the place in fear. One park visitor said on Facebook that there was a fight when everyone was trying to get out of the building at the same time. “Everyone started shouting all at once, and then they all ran. We left through a door only employees could use.
