In business, most starting entrepreneurs tend to put a large focus on their business itself, obsessing over their sales, marketing strategies, partner, and income. However, what more experienced and successful entrepreneurs would advise, is to start a business venture with a much more serious focus on yourself as a person and develop a mindset and plan that can withstand the trials that new business offers. Real estate agent Tyler Hogan explains the importance of conquering your mind.
Tyler Hogan is an up-and-coming Texas realtor with a brand focus on technology. Tyler initially earned a master’s degree, beginning a career in tech, selling real estate-centric software to real estate agents. Using his gained expertise in both tech and real estate, Tyler concluded that he himself had the ability and possible prowess to leave his tech job and begin his own entrepreneurial journey through the world of real estate.
The first step to combating any problem is typically described as preparation. For Tyler, being mentally prepared is what keeps one motivated to face any issue day after day. “Mindset will always be the #1 factor of your success in WHATEVER you do in life! Understanding how to channel the hate and doubts into positive energy is important. You have to win the mental battle with yourself day after day. This is how you build confidence and put the energy into the world that is necessary for your success”, says Tyler. Without proper attention to mental wellnessand willpower, it is so much harder to confront the demanding challenges that are positive to present themselves in business.
As an experienced yet driven new business owner, Tyler too ran into his fair share of challenges. Making the transition from being used to working for someone else to being in charge ofeverything yourself is one of the first obstacles all new business owners face. “You have to figure out how to balance marketing, technology, education, client retention, business finances, and customer relationships. Find out your strengths and weaknesses and then outsource what you aren’t effective at” explains Tyler.
Tyler Hogan has come to the understanding that business is not just a battle outside, but inside as well. If one allows things such as fear, being unprepared, and a negative mindset, to disrupt their ability to work with the best quality they can, then it suddenly becomes far more difficult than it should to craft a successful network for a business.
