In the new Discovery+ docuseries House of Hammer, the allegations of abuse against Armie Hammer will be looked at in depth. In the trailer for the next show, which came out last month, the actor’s alleged victims talked about what happened to them. In the series, Casey Hammer, who is Armie Hammer’s aunt, will talk about their family history and the actor’s claims.
Before the documentary aired, Armie’s aunt talked to US Weekly about how she felt about the actor’s alleged bad behaviour “I wasn’t shocked or horrified, to be honest. Because of how I was raised, I saw and heard about terrible things that were kept secret because they happened behind closed doors and we couldn’t talk about them.” She continued by saying, “I thought, Oh, here we go. A second man with a Hammer.”
Both of them are the grandchildren of business mogul Armand Hammer, who died in 1990. Casey is the sister of Armie’s dad, Michael Hammer. The planned docuseries will follow the history of the Hammer family and look at all of their fights. There will also be interviews with women who say that the Call Me by Your Name actor talked to them about his interest in cannibalism and other fetishes when they were dating.
Concerning Hammer, the actor got a divorce from his wife of 10 years, Elizabeth Chambers, months before the claims against him were posted online. Chambers said in a joint statement, “It’s been an amazing journey, but we’ve decided to close this chapter and move on from our marriage.”
