On one of his most recent shows, Chris Rock appears to have brought up Will Smith’s smack at the Oscars. Rock reportedly related how Smith assaulted him during the Academy Awards to the fans on Friday night at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena. According to reports, the comedian talked about his joke and the slap that occurred while it was being told.
Chris reportedly said, “When I talked about what happened at the Oscars,” according to an Entertainment Tonight article “You said it hurt you. I’m so right, “Stone said. It was the funniest joke I’ve ever delivered, but the motherf***er punched me because of it. When Rock was a presenter at the 94th Academy Awards, he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.
Will Smith has expressed his response to receiving three slaps and apologised for his actions. The “King Richard” star apologised to Chris Rock in a video last month. Chris has only discussed what transpired at his comedy performances; he hasn’t spoken about it in an interview.
Smith made a video and said in it: “Chris, if you could pardon me. I apologise for my actions, and I’m available to speak with you anytime you’re ready.” He also said, “I have no reason to think that was the right thing to do at that time.” About a week after the incident, the Academy said that the actor would not be able to go to the awards show for the next ten years. Smith also gave up his position at the Academy.
