Officially, HyunA and Dawn are no longer together. After six years of dating, the adored K-pop star couple announced their separation.
On November 30, HyunA posted a snapshot of a brief letter for fans on her main grid on Instagram, announcing the news. “We split up. We made the decision to carry on being close friends and coworkers. I appreciate you always being there for us and thinking well of us “According to a translation by Soompi, the short letter is written in Korean. Dawn has not yet said anything about the separation on his own social media accounts as of the time of writing.
Fans have been shocked by the news of HyunA and Dawn’s peaceful split, and many have rushed to social media to express their shock and sadness. One admirer commented on HyunA’s Instagram picture, “Ok now I officially don’t believe in love.”
Previously label mates at Cube Entertainment, HyunA and Dawn started dating sometime in 2016, although they didn’t make their relationship public until 2018. The two left their firm to be together after making their romance public.
Together, they joined PSY’s record company, PNation, the home of the “Gangnam Style” hitmaker, in 2019, and quickly rose to prominence. HyunA and Dawn both had solo contracts, but they also collaborated on projects and gave live performances. (They had previously played together as a member of the PENTAGON duo Triple H, which belonged to Cube Entertainment.)
The couple gained notoriety after posting a photo on Instagram in February of this year that looked to show engagement rings, however they didn’t formally confirm the rumour. Another significant shift in HyunA and Dawn’s life recently is their split. The pair also made their exit from PNation known in August.
